Successful Bid
A huge thank you to everyone who voted for our project in the "You Decide" opportunity. We can now move on to the next step of raising a bit more money which will enable us to contract for a company to guide us on our way forward and highlight opportunities for funding to ensure that our steeple is reinstated within the next two years.

Recent acquisitions
The above watercolours are by George Thomson, some people in the town may remember him as an art teacher at Burntisland Secondary School. He was a well known calligrapher writing on the subject and carrying out commissions. The above paintings, were donated to Burntisland Heritage, by Mr McCulloch, who's family owned the Sandhills caravan park in Kinghorn.

Antonia Laurence Allen, Regional Curator for The National Trust for Scotland, contacted Burntisland Heritage early in January to enquire if we would like to receive a ceremonial baton which was in their collection at Falkland. We were delighted to accept this offer and the baton was duly transferred to Burntisland and the presentation took place on Friday 7th February.
We are currently looking into the history of the object and would be keen to hear from anyone with information.
